Polka Dot Ponies

This will most likely be just a collection of my ramblings. I ride and train horses, so there is bound to be a lot of horse stuff. But I also just like to vent and this seems the perfect place.

My Bucket List

I believe that everyone should have goals in life. Whether they are short term or long term, easy to achieve or almost impossible it is important to have something to strive for.

So here is my Bucket List, a collection of things that I would like to do before I die. It is still very much a work in progress and is definitely not in any particular order.

  • Qualify a horse of mine for and show in the World Show.
  • Own a stable. Lessons, training and boarding.
  • Get married.
  • Have kids.
  • Travel to Australia.
  • Take and pass my NCLEX.
  • Read at least one book per month.
  • Rescue at least one animal (horse, dog, cat, etc)
  • Go back to Hawaii.

H-m-m-m. Nice list. I should think of one for me. I definitely want to train one horse to Grand Prix, but I don't have to show at that level. So, it means training one horse to piaffe and passage and to actually do the one tempis.

I am sure you will pass the nursing exam. It's pretty clear you have a keen sense of things and a clear perception of yourself and the world. I know this sounds strange to some people, but quite often that kind of "worldly knowledge" takes you much further than all the technical knowledge. AND it helps you be far more successful in taking tests! (I am a teacher, so I know this kind of stuff...besides, it's a good motivational speech. *G*) When do you take the exam?

i was about to ask what that abbreviation was for, but gather from jean it's an exam for nurses...

and i agree about worldly knowledge - general "nous" - gets you a lot further, and with technical know how added, the world is your oyster (including Oz!)
